To drive purchase of the new album, 1989, Checkd.in, BMLG, and Taylor Swift launched the 1989 Swiftstakes. As one of the biggest albums of the year, fans flocked to enter the Swiftstakes competition to win a chance to meet Taylor Swift or win 1,989 other prizes. Taylor announced the Swiftstakes alongside her new album on Yahoo, as well as continued promotion on her social channels.
To highlight the launch of three high-profile campaigns, an email blast was sent out to our list of multiple hundred subscribers. An introduction/hello from the CEO was followed showcasing recent work, discussing Nashville happenings, and music/tv recommendations from the office. This example email received an open rate of 40%.
